We’re excited to welcome Bala Vishwanath back to SeekOut—this time as our new Chief Marketing Officer.

Bala’s return comes at a pivotal moment for both our company and the broader talent acquisition industry. As more organizations move from AI-assisted tools to truly autonomous AI agents, SeekOut is leading this transformation with agentic AI. Bala’s vision, experience, and leadership are exactly what we need to accelerate this shift. 

How Bala Came into the Picture 

This isn’t Bala’s first time working with us. In fact, he was one of the first people to collaborate with Anoop Gupta, our CEO and co-founder, during the earliest days of SeekOut. He helped refine product messaging and build the foundation for what SeekOut would eventually become.

When we started thinking about who could lead our next phase of marketing growth, Bala’s name came up quickly. He already had a deep understanding of our mission and brought fresh perspective shaped by years of enterprise marketing leadership. His return feels both familiar and forward-looking, and we’re thrilled to be building together again. 

A Quick Snapshot of Bala’s Experience 

Bala brings more than 25 years of B2B marketing experience, including leadership roles in enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, and infrastructure. Most recently, he served as CMO at CoreStack, where he played a key role in establishing the company as a market leader in cloud governance.

He’s also the author of First70, a practical guide for early-stage founders and marketing leaders navigating their company’s first 70 customers. It’s a stage Bala knows well and one where clarity, speed, and go-to-market alignment can make all the difference.

His depth in market positioning and scaling brand strategy makes him a powerful partner for SeekOut’s next chapter as more enterprises embrace the promise of agentic AI in hiring. 

What Bala Will Be Focusing on First 

Over the coming months, Bala is focused on learning and helping us deepen our connection with talent leaders.

His early priorities include: 

  • Clarifying how we talk about agentic AI and what it makes possible for hiring teams. 

  • Helping more companies understand the difference between SeekOut Recruit, our AI recruiting platform, and SeekOut Spot, our agentic AI recruiting service. 

  • Elevating the voices and successes of our customers across industries.
